C.E.O Nakuru Hospice, Soaring to greater heights.

It was a moment of delight for Ms Elizabeth Ndung’u, who is the current C.E.O of Nakuru hospice when she was honored and elected as the president of Rotary club in Nakuru County last month.

Rotary is a global network of people who are problem-solvers and who see the world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe.

She says her new position at the Rotary club brought her plenty of joy but at the same time came with a portion of responsibilities as she has to inspire the growth of the club and get people working together.

Elizabeth has not bowed out her position at the hospice and she affirms that when she is away she delegates duties to her co-workers.

Her  new position at the rotary club will serve her chance to form a network with like-minded people who together they can collaborate and find new effective ways to enhance health stability. Through fundraising and grants, she can be able to expand the growth of Nakuru hospice.

Elizabeth has a deep commitment to community development and a great interest palliative care. When she lost her dad in 2005 to prostate cancer is when she learnt about palliative care and since then she has been a great activist of palliative care. She is the one behind the construction and development of Nakuru hospice.

As members of Kenya Hospice and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA), the umbrella body of hospices and palliative care in Kenya, we are truly proud of her.
