Dr. Asaph holds a Master`s degree in Management and Leadership (MML) from The Management University of Africa and bachelor`s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from University of Nairobi. He has over 10 years experience in medical field both in clinical and program field, which has enabled him develop strong expertise in the following areas; capacity building, advocacy, resource mobilization, project management, budget making, strategy formulation, leadership, data management, monitoring evaluation & learning, External relations, organization risk management and research.

He has interest in public and global health and very passionate in advocating for the rights of the marginalized in the community including women and children.

Dr. Asaph has participated in development of several curricula including the Kenya Medical Training College Higher Diploma in Palliative Care curriculum. He has involved in development of several policies and guidelines; National Palliative Care Guidelines, The Kenya national patients` rights charter (2013) among others. He is a member of various professional bodies: Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council, IAHPC (International Hospice and Palliative Care Association) and ICPCN (International Children’s Palliative Care Network).

He is currently overseeing several projects including Integrating of palliative care in to the health care system in Kenya, Advocacy for better access to health care, CHEMOSAFE, Access to Morphine among others. Dr. Asaph has been engaged in several humanitarian initiatives in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps where he interacted with individuals from different cultural back grounds. When off duty, Dr. Asaph spends time volunteering in medical camps, educating communities on Non Communicable Diseases and mentoring youth from his rural area.
