The launch of ehospice, a worldwide online palliative care newspaper is nearly here! ehospice will provide up to date news, views and inspiration on everything related to palliative care from both Kenya and around the globe in one place.
Launching in October 2012, ehospice will be available online and as free apps to download on the iPad, iPhone and Smartphones to provide up to the minute news on the move. There will be a Kenyan edition run by KEHPCA along with other country, regional, international and paediatric editions run by specialists in the field.
The international newspaper will be updated daily while the Kenyan edition will be updated weekly initially. It will cover breaking news, current research findings, note articles of interest in journals, review meetings, events and conferences, policy developments, upcoming courses and training opportunities, updates from organisations within the palliative care field and much much more. It will also act as a guide for the public on where to access hospice and palliative care services, and there will be an opportunity for partners to advertise current vacancies in order to reach a wider audience.
ehospice will have a wide readership from clinicians, doctors, nurses and health professionals, government ministers and policy makers, academics and students, patients and their families and anyone with an interest in palliative care. If you would like to get involved by writing for or advertising on ehospice, please contact KEHPCA at info@kehpca.org to find out more information on how you can get involved in this exciting innovative e-newspaper.
Great idea! Excellent to see this happening and especially that there will be a Kenyan edition. Well done KEHPCA! Hospice Care Care Kenya will certainly be contributing news etc. and linking it to our planned new website. Patrick.
