Dr. Okose is a dedicated General Practitioner with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi (2021) and is registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC). She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health Management in Health Economics and Policy at James Lind Institute in Switzerland and has a training in Palliative Care from KEHPCA.

She brings valuable experience with two years of post-registration practice, having worked in the Paediatric Department at The Nairobi Hospital and as the Resident Medical Officer at Tudor Healthcare. During her medical internship, she volunteered at the Hospice of Taita Taveta, which fueled her passion for palliative care

Her commitment to health advocacy is further demonstrated by her certifications in Feminism and Social Justice, HIV stripe training, TB management in paediatric, and Good Clinical Practice.

In her role as Programs Officer, Dr. Okose will serve as the vital link between KEHPCA, the Ministry of Health, KEMSA, and other stakeholders to promote KEHPCA’s vision of quality palliative care for all in Kenya. She will also support palliative care research, implement program and training activities at KEHPCA. Her work will be instrumental in scaling up palliative care services and advocacy.

Outside of her professional life, Beryl is a fitness enthusiast.
